Sarge Needs Your Help

Sarge was tied up overnight outside an
animal hospital in North Jersey in the
FREEZING COLD.

We later found out that his owner went into a
nursing home and her kids tied him up there
and told her that a vet adopted him! He spent
a few days at the hospital because he has a mass on his spleen and a cyst on his kidney.

The biopsy did not show cancer but he still
should have a spleenectomy so he doesn't
bleed out. The surgery costs about $2000, though, so we're trying to raise funds so we
can pay for it.

For the first time in many years, HSBR is
really in debt. We've always been able to get
by, with a little help from generous friends,
and to keep helping dogs. However, there are more bulldogs than ever coming into rescue because of the economy and housing foreclosures. We've had so many sick dogs recently and our bills are piling up. If you can
send a few dollars, we would really
appreciate it. I hate to have to say no to a sick
or senior dog who really needs us.
We are very grateful.
